Now blooming: Western Serviceberry <I>(Amelanchier alnifolia</I> var. <I>semiintegrifolia</I>) and Western Buttercup <I>(Ranunculus occidentalis</I>) near the trailhead. Near the viewing platform, Wild Strawberry <I>(Fragaria virginiana)</I> is blooming, and Tolmie's Star Tulip <I>(Calochortus tolmiei)</I> and Spring Gold <I>(Lomatium utriculatum)</I> are starting. One isolated Common Camas <I>(Camassia quamash)</I> in bloom. <P> There is a profusion of Kincaid's Lupine <I>(Lupinus sulphureus </I>ssp.<I> kincaidii)</I> leaves, but no blooms for at least another week (or two).
