| Comments | Now blooming: Western Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia var. semiintegrifolia) and Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis) near the trailhead. Near the viewing platform, Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana) is blooming, and Tolmie's Star Tulip (Calochortus tolmiei) and Spring Gold (Lomatium utriculatum) are starting. One isolated Common Camas (Camassia quamash) in bloom. There is a profusion of Kincaid's Lupine (Lupinus sulphureus ssp. kincaidii) leaves, but no blooms for at least another week (or two). |
