CommentsNow blooming: Bigseed biscuitroot (Lomatium macrocarpum), Deltoid balsamroot (Balsamorhiza deltoidea), Howell's silverpuffs (Microseris howellii), Waldo rockcress (Arabis aculeolata), Checkerbell (Fritillaria affinis), Spreading phlox (Phlox diffusa), Siskyou mat (Ceanothus pumilus), Shortlobe paintbrush (Castilleja hispida ssp brevilobata), and Purple mouse ears (Mimulus douglasii).

On the left side of the parking lot, just on the other side of the wooden fence, there appeared to be a variant of Viola hallii mixed in with common V. hallii plants. On the variant, the two upper petals were dark purple only on the back side and yellow on the front. Normally, the two upper petals of V. hallii are dark purple on both sides. and Mickey-mouse violet (Viola hallii).
