Commentswindy but lovely day... drove along past Rowland Lake, stopped briefly at Catherine Creek and saw Camas lilies blooming with the Death Camas and Shooting Stars near the road. small patches of Balsamroot near Major Creek and on the banks of the Klickitat. Fields of Balsamroot starting to show up on the Dalles MOuntain Ranch road above the ranch and we saw our first Lupine blooms with more buds on the way. Phlox blooming as well up there... the flowers are still young, still light and immature in the centers.. but soon they will be showy! a friend just told me he stopped by ROwena Crest and thought maybe a couple more weeks there... did not see much blooming there.
