| Comments | In the forest vanilla leaf (Achlys triphylla), Columbia windflower (Anemone deltoidea), Sierra pea (Lathyrus nevadensis), Pacific bleeding heart (Dicentra formosa ssp. formosa), western red baneberry (Actaea rubra), star-flowered solomon's-seal (Maianthemum stellatum), red elderberry (Sambucus racemosa), and some red columbine (Aquilegia formosa) beginning to bloom.
The meadow does not appear to be at its peak yet. In the meadow beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax) and cliff larkspur (Delphinium menziesii) are in full bloom. Also, in flower are broadleaf lupine (Lupinus latifolius), wallflower (Erysimum sp.), bluebells (Mertensia sp.), stickseed (Hackelia sp.), wood strawberry (Fragaria vesca), violet (Viola spp.), Oregon sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum), penstemon (Penstemon sp.), cinquefoil (Potentilla sp.), cat's ear (Calochortus subalpinus), indian paintbrush (Castilleja sp.), spreading phlox (Phlox diffusa), scarlet gilia (Ipomopsis aggregata), arrowleaf groundsel, (Senecio triangularis), and others. |
