CommentsI started at the upper trailhead on top of Coyote Ridge and hiked through the main wildflower area and then continued some ways into the forest before turning around. In bloom were: Naked broomrape (Orobanche uniflora), phacelia (Phacelia sp.), various desert-parsley (Lomatium spp.) and Indian paintbrush (Castilleja spp.), bitter cherry (Prunus emarginata), blue and yellow flowered lupines (Lupinus spp.), various penstemon (Penstemon spp.), onion (Allium spp.), bighead clover (Trifolium macrocephalum), wallflower (Erysimum capitatum), redstem ceanothus (Ceanothus sanguineus), slender phlox (Phlox gracilis), western red baneberry (Actaea rubra), heartleaf arnica (Arnica cordifolia), fairy slipper (Calypso bulbosa var. occidentalis), wood’s strawberry (Fragaria vesca), larkspur (Delphinium sp.), prairie star (Lithophragma sp.), mallow ninebark (Physocarpus malvaceus), and roughfruit fairy bells (Prosartes trachycarpa), side-flowered miterwort (Mitella stauropetala), soloman’s seal (Maianthemum racemosum), and more.

Past peak bloom: Common camas (Camassia quamash), shooting star (Dodecatheon spp.), and arrowleaf balsamroot (Balsamorhiza sagittata). Have yet to bloom: Meadowrue (Thalictrum sp.).
