Description

The beautiful North Fork Umatilla Wilderness is like a miniature version of Hells Canyon. It is a great place to see spring wildflowers, especially if you proceed as far as Coyote Ridge.

Directions

From Pendleton, take Interstate 84 east 7 miles to exit 216 (Wildhorse Casino). Drive north for 2.1 miles to a flashing red light, and turn right onto Mission Road. Proceed 1.7 miles and turn left onto Cayuse Road. Proceed 11.2 miles, then turn right onto Bingham Road. Proceed 15.7 miles, then turn left at a fork in the road to the trailhead parking area.
