I was out at the Finley Refuge last week just to see if I could see the Smooth Fringe Cup, Lithophragma glabrum, that I stumbled upon last year about this time. Sure enough there was a patch of them right where they were last year. This year I found another patch just beyond the first one on the other side of the path. All this was on the Wood pecker loop. In addition the woods were filled with a wide variety of blossoms: large frindgecup, bedstraw, bleeding heart, miners lettuce, fairy lanterns, Mariposa Lilies and more. Driving to the trailhead I noteced the meadows were filled with Yellow paintbrush, Iris (Also in the woods)and dozens of grasses in bloom.
