The following are at their peak: Oregon fawn lily <I>(Erythronium oregonum)</I>, Nuttall's toothwort <I>(Cardamine nuttalli</I> var. <I>nuttallii)</I>, bigleaf maple <I>(Acer macrophyllum)</I>, fairy slipper <I>(Calypso bulbosa</I> var. <I>occidentalis)</I>, western trillium <I>(Trillium ovatum</I> ssp. <I>ovatum)</I>, & sessile trillium <I>(Trillium albidum)</I>. <P> Others in bloom: stream violet <I>(Viola glabella)</I>, evergreen violet <I>(Viola sempervirens)</I>, candyflower <I>(Claytonia sibirica)</I>, large-flowered nemophila <I>(Nemophila menziesii</I> var. <I>atomaria)</I>, and a couple of Oregon iris <I>(Iris tenax)</I>. <P> At the summit: Henderson's shooting star <I>(Dodecatheon hendersonii)</I>, small-flowered blue-eyed mary <I>(Collinsia parviflora)</I>, grass widow <I>(Olsynium douglasii</I> var. <I>douglasii)</I>, bigleaf sandwort <I>(Moehringia macrophylla)</I>, small-flowered prairie-star <I>(Lithophragma parviflorum</I> var. <I>parviflorum)</I>, chickweed monkeyflower <I>(Mimulus alsinoides)</I>, spring whitlow-grass <I>(Draba verna)</I>, and spring gold <I>(Lomatium utriculatum)</I>. <P> Wholeleaf saxifrage <I>(Saxifraga integrifolia)</I> is in the very early stages of blooming near the summit. Peak bloom may be a couple of weeks away.
