I was out at the Eight Dollar Mountain Fen this morning (the one with the BLM boardwalk. Lots of nice flowers coming on. In no particular order: Western Azalea (just beginning to bloom), Calochortus uniflorus, Death Camas, Lewisia oppositifolia, Microseris howellii, Collomia heterophylla, a Calochortus that is either C. tolmiei, C. elegans, or a hybrid (also some that look to have hybridized with C. uniflorus), Darlingtonias are coming into flower, lots of Siskiyou Iris and Allium falcifolium. And on the way in, in a ditch off to the right, some lovely big patches of Limnanthes gracilis.
If anyone is looking for a great assortment of serpentine endemics, this is definitely the place to go!
