Laurel Thompson reports that the following are blooming along the Crawford Oaks Trail (between Highway 14 and Dalles Mountain Ranch Road): Butterfly-Bearing Desert Parsley (Lomatium papilioniferum, formerly Lomatium grayi), Cushion fleabane (Erigeron poliospermus var. poliospermus), Showy Phlox (Phlox speciosa), Saxifrage, Poet’s Shooting Star (Dodecatheon poeticum), Yellow Bells (Fritillaria pudica), Big-head clover (Trifolium macrocephalum), Ballhead Waterleaf (Hydrophyllum capitatum var. thompsonii), Panicled Death Camas (Toxicoscordion paniculatum), Small-Flowered Blue-Eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora), Upland Larkspur (Delphinium nuttallii), and others. <P> Lupine is starting to open.
