Adam Schneider reports that (as expected because of other Gorge locations) Dog Mountain is very late this year. The only balsamroot is in the form of buds and shoots for the moment. Wildflowers currently blooming include: lots of Columbia Kittentails (Synthyris stellata), Lance-leaf Spring Beauty (Claytonia lanceolata), and Dutchman`s breeches (Dicentra cucullaria).
