In bloom were several species of penstemon including: hotrock penstemon(<I>Penstemon deustus</I> var. <I>deustus</I>), shrubby penstemon (<I>Penstemon fruticosus</I>), and glandular penstemon (<I>Penstemon glandulosus</I> var. <I>glandulosus</I>). Also various types of desert-parsley (<I>Lomatium</I> spp.), large-flower brodiaea (<I> Triteleia grandiflora</I> var.<I> grandiflora</I>), narrowleaf skullcap (<I>Scutellaria angustifolia</I>), locoweed (<I>Astragalus</I> sp.), various lupine (<I>Lupinus</I> spp.), Cusick’s speedwell (<I>Veronica cusickii</I>), rough eyelashweed <I>Blepharipappus scaber</I>), bighead clover (<I>Trifolium macrocephalum</I>), paintbrush/owl clover (<I>Castilleja</I> spp.), Wallowa lewisia (<I>Lewisia columbiana</I> var. <I>wallowensis</I>), gray-green thistle (<I>Cirsium canovirens</I>), buckwheat (<I>Eriogonum</I> spp.), mallow ninebark (<I>Physocarpus malvaceus</I>), phlox (<I>Phlox</I> spp.), and more.
