| Comments | Apparent find of Hydrophyllum capitatum thompsonii many miles out of its reported range. There is a small population (maybe 12-15 plants) on the west side of Baty Butte along the East Mountain Trail. The terrain is very steep and the soils rockfall/slide filled with ash and organic materials. The exact spot has a mesic characteristic in comparison to much of the surrounding terrain. All plants observed were uphill from the trail. I did not go off-trail to search for more plants. See my facebook post on Oregon Wildflowers for a little more information. |
