CommentsBlooming near the Rich Guadagno viewpoint is a profusion of Tolmie's Star Tulip (Calochortus tolmiei), along with intermittent Golden Paintbrush (Castilleja levisecta).

Also blooming are Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis) and Western Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia var. semiintegrifolia). I saw many Fender's Blue Butterflies flitting to and fro, but no Kincaid's Lupine (Lupinus sulphureus) yet in bloom.
