| Comments | I hiked up to McCall Point, which is a steep hike, but well worth it on a clear day like today. Great views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams can be had from the top!
The wildflowers are REALLY amazing here right now. They are blooming along the plateau around the parking area, and they're blooming all along the trail up to the point. The whole summit meadow up there is full of wildflowers. There are a lot of Arrow-leaf Balsamroot and Blue Lupine, but there are a wide variety of other wildflowers too. Bring your sunscreen and watch out for Poison Oak, which is everywhere along the trail up to the point. |
