| Comments | Now blooming: Western Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia var. semiintegrifolia), lots of Western Buttercup (Ranunculus occidentalis) along the entire trail, lots of Tolmie's Star Tulip (Calochortus tolmiei) and some Spring Gold (Lomatium utriculatum) near the viewing platform,
Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana), patches of Bigroot (Marah oreganus), and occasional Camas (Camassia quamash). In the woods you can see plenty of Small-Flowered Prairie Star (Lithophragma parviflora), Miner's Lettuce (Claytonia perfoliata), and Disappointing Buttercup (Ranunculus uncinatus).
There is a profusion of Kincaid's Lupine (Lupinus sulphureus ssp. kincaidii), but very little has actually started to bloom yet. |
