| Comments | Along Dan's Trail there are at least ten Phantom Orchids spikes (Cephalanthera austiniae). There is also a nice clump of Indian Pipe (Monotropa uniflora) emerging from the ground about halfway up. At the very top of the trail there is a Rattlesnake Orchid (Goodyera oblongifolia) with a flower spike forming. Lower down on the trail there are a few Columbia Lilies (Lilium columbianum) blooming. I have posted some photos at http://step2626.org/blog/?p=2432&preview=true. |
