Directions

From Eugene/Springfield, drive east on Highway 126 past Blue River. Just past milepost 45, turn right onto Road 19 (Aufderheide). Keeping right, follow Road 19 for 3.3 miles until you reach the Cougar Reservoir Dam. Turn left onto Road 1993 and cross the dam. Follow Road 1993 for 2.7 paved miles, followed by 9.3 gravel miles, to the trailhead on your right. The trail to the right goes to Lowder Mountain, and the one to the left goes to Quaking Aspen Swamp.
